WSB5-40 series “phae line + neutral line” circuit breaker is applied in single residential line of AC 50Hz or 60Hz, rated voltage 230V to make overload and short circuit protection to the electrical line. The product is big in breaking capacity and small in volume with width 18mm. It is null line and live line breakd at same time which put personal harm and risk an end that may caused by reverse connecting of null line or potential of null line earthing. It is the optimal distribution protecting switch for resisdual houses at present, meets standards IEC 60898 and GB 10963.1
WSB5L-40 sereis (phase + neutral + earth leakage) circuit breaker is applied in single phase residential line of AC 50Hz or 60Hz, rated voltage 230V for earth leakage protection, as well as protection of overload and short circuit for civil electrical line. The product is small in volume, big in breaking capacity. It can still make earth leakage protection even null and live lines cut meanwhile, and live line connects reversely. It meets standards IEC 61009 and GB 16917.1

A smart (or intelligent) MCB combines the traditional thermal-magnetic overcurrent and short-circuit protection with built-in sensing electronics, a microcontroller and communication module. In addition to tripping on faults, it continuously measures electrical parameters and reports them to an app or cloud platform, and can be switched remotely under authorized control.
It typically monitors real-time current and voltage, active power, power factor, accumulated energy consumption (kWh), and residual/leakage current where equipped. These values are displayed in a mobile app or web dashboard, allowing users to track load, spot abnormal consumption and verify energy savings.
The WSB5(L)-40 smart breaker connects over WiFi (and often supports RS485/Modbus or MQTT for larger systems). Through the manufacturer's app or a cloud platform, an authorized user can remotely turn circuits on/off, set protection thresholds and receive push notifications on their smartphone from anywhere with internet access.
Yes. The smart MCB supports scheduled switching, countdown timers and weekly/time-of-day schedules configured in the app. This lets users automatically power off non-essential loads at night, schedule equipment operating hours, or pre-heat/pre-cool circuits before occupancy, cutting standby energy waste.
It retains the full MCB protection set — overload (inverse-time thermal) and short-circuit (magnetic instant trip) — and, in the WSB5(L) earth-leakage variant, residual-current protection. The electronics add adjustable alarms for over-voltage, under-voltage, over-current and leakage, while the mechanical trip hardware still operates on severe faults even if communication is lost.
Westhomes offers ODM/OEM services, meaning customers can specify branded housings and labels, select communication protocols (WiFi, 4G, RS485/Modbus), choose rated currents and pole configurations, adjust protection thresholds, and even customize app UI or cloud integration. This lets distributors and system builders bring a differentiated smart breaker to their own market under their own brand.
It mounts on a standard 35 mm DIN rail inside a distribution board, with line and load terminals wired like a conventional MCB (top feed, bottom load). The smart module is powered from the line side; commissioning consists of connecting to the home WiFi through the app, naming the circuit and setting user preferences.
A standard MCB only trips and offers no visibility or remote control. The smart MCB keeps the same physical protection but adds measurement, logging, remote switching and alerts, and can integrate with home automation or energy-management systems. It is therefore both a protective device and an energy-monitoring node.
Smart breakers are used in smart-home distribution boards, rental and Airbnb remote management, hotel and student-room energy control, office and retail sub-metering, solar/PV balance-of-system protection, and industrial energy-management systems. They are especially valuable where circuits are remotely located or where unattended load scheduling is needed.
The protective function must meet the relevant IEC standards (IEC 60898-1 for MCB, IEC 61009 where earth-leakage integrated), while the electronic and wireless parts follow applicable EMC and radio standards and typically carry CE. Maintenance is similar to a conventional MCB — check terminals and operate the local handle periodically — plus firmware updates pushed through the app and an annual verification that the unit still communicates and trips correctly.
