The WCM6E uses a microprocessor-based trip unit that replaces traditional thermal-magnetic elements with programmable protection curves. Overload protection is adjustable from 0.4 to 1.0 times the rated current, and short-circuit protection trip settings can be configured from 2 to 10 times the rated current. This flexibility allows the same breaker frame to serve different protection roles across the distribution hierarchy without changing hardware.
Rated insulation voltage reaches 800V with an impulse withstand of 8000V. The breaker delivers breaking capacities up to 50kA at 400V AC depending on frame size, making it suitable for main switchboards, motor control centers, and power distribution units in factories, commercial buildings, and infrastructure projects.
The WCM6E frame accommodates 3-pole and 4-pole configurations. Available accessories include shunt trip release, undervoltage release, auxiliary switches, alarm contacts, and motor operators for remote control. The breaker can be integrated into SCADA and building management systems through standard communication modules.
Each unit is type-tested to IEC 60947-2. Temperature compensation maintains trip accuracy from -5°C to +40°C ambient. Mechanical endurance exceeds 10,000 operations, and electrical endurance reaches 6,000 cycles at rated current, supporting long service life in continuous-duty applications.
