Westhomes is a leading Chinese manufacturer specializing in DC miniature circuit breakers (DC MCBs). Our DC MCBs are non-polarised, meaning they can be installed in either positive or negative polarity. A versatile range of accessories complements these breakers, making them adaptable across diverse applications.
Specifically engineered for direct current control circuits, our DC MCBs protect against overloads and short circuits inside appliances and electrical equipment. They are particularly well-suited for photovoltaic (PV) systems, energy storage systems (ESS), EV charging stations, commercial battery banks, UPS systems, and other high-power DC scenarios.
Manufactured in our ISO-certified facility with automated production lines, we produce over 200,000 units annually. This scale and efficiency allow us to deliver fast turnaround times and competitive wholesale pricing tailored to bulk orders.

A DC MCB (Direct Current Miniature Circuit Breaker) is a protective device used to automatically disconnect DC circuits when there’s an overcurrent, like a short circuit or overload. It’s designed specifically to handle the constant, one-directional flow of current in DC systems.
You can usually find this information printed on the MCB label or datasheet. DC MCBs are clearly marked with voltage ratings like “DC 500V”, “DC 1000V”, or “DC 1500V”. AC MCBs are marked with “230/400V~” or similar. Additionally, the symbol “~” represents AC, while “⎓” or “—” indicates DC.
Connecting a DC MCB is similar to an AC one, but polarity matters in some models. For non-polarized MCBs, you can connect either side to positive or negative. Always follow the wiring diagram, ensure tight connections, and mount the breaker securely on the DIN rail. If unsure, consult an electrician familiar with DC systems.
Our DC MCBs are specially designed for high-performance in photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage system (ESS) applications. With fast tripping, modular design, and international certifications like IEC and CE, they provide safe, efficient protection against overcurrent and surges.
Yes. Every breaker undergoes strict electrical and mechanical life testing. For example, miniature circuit breakers rated below 125A are tested to perform up to 2000 cycles. Our molded case DC breakers are tested up to 10,000 cycles depending on current rating. We also run high/low temperature testing (-20℃ to 70℃) and glow wire flame resistance tests to ensure reliability in harsh environments.
Absolutely. With in-house manufacturing and full OEM/ODM capabilities, we can customize your circuit breakers with your brand name, packaging, and specifications. Whether you need a unique design or small batch flexibility, we’re ready to support your brand’s growth.
